PADI Divemaster Course

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

You're eligible to start your PADI Divemaster training after 20 logged dives and successfully completing the PADI Rescue Diver course.

PADI Divemasters are qualified to supervise and assist with both training and non training dive activities. The Great American Diving Company as well as dive centers and resorts around the world need PADI Divemasters to assist with dive classes and guide underwater tours.

PADI Divemasters may conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experiences and Scuba Review programs for certified divers. They may also conduct the PADI Discover Snorkeling experience and the PADI Skin Diver course, as well as qualify to teach the Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty and Emergency First Response courses.

Prerequisite     PADI Advanced Open Water (or other qualifying certification), PADI Rescue Diver (or other qualifying certification), 20 logged dives, 18 years old, be in good physical condition and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician.

Required equipment    Mask, snorkel, fins, appropriate exposure protection, weight system, BCD w/ low pressure inflator, regulator w/ pressure gauge, depth gauge and timer (or dive computer), compass, alternate air source, tank(s), dive knife, log book, whistle, slate, PADI RDP (table & e-RDP). Equipment must be modern, in good repair and represent the product lines sold by The Great American Diving Company to participate in the internship program.
